Thomas Goss

One of McLaren Vale’s original pioneers, Thomas Goss (1810-1890), arrived in South Australia from Devonshire in 1849. In 1854, after success in the Victorian gold fields, Goss established an iconic farming property, ‘Ingleburne’, which is now home to our cellar door. The Thomas Goss range of wines are a tribute to Thomas Goss and his family.

Just over the old stone wall to the south of the cellars, the Goss Corner Vineyard, established in 1996, gave up more than a century of stooked golden hay for a conventional vineyard layout comprising Shiraz, Merlot and Viognier.
Total area: 9.7ha (24 acres).
Vines planted: 1996
